Project Summary
The City of Seattle Fire Station 5 Dock Replacement consisted of the demolition and appropriate disposal of two 7-pile creosote timber dolphins, existing gangway, and concrete dock. It also included fabrication and installation of a new steel floating dock, installation of two new 36β fender piles and installation of a new foam fender and a new gangway. Additional features of work include electrical and mechanical utilities. As part of mitigation requirements, Γλ²₯ Construction also performed a separate project for the demolition of approximately 1,166 sf of deck removal consisting of asphalt, treated timber deck, stringers, pile caps and creosote pile extraction at Pier 48. A separate contract, but also related to the project included the fabrication and installation of aluminum frames to protect the utilities under the Fire Station.
